Wend terms of use
Use Wend with care.
Last updated: 15 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Wend, including its paired conversations, voice features, community-safety tools, and subscriptions.
Using Wend
Wend is designed for private conversation between you and a linked partner. You are responsible for the content you submit and must not use Wend to send illegal, exploitative, hateful, harassing, threatening, non-consensual, explicit, or otherwise objectionable content.
Private content is still subject to these rules. You can report discussion messages in the app. You can also unpair or block a current partner. Blocking ends the active pair and prevents access through that pair; a re-pair cooldown may apply. We may investigate reports, suspend accounts, or take other action needed to protect people using Wend.
Voice transcription
Voice transcription and safety processing are optional. Before uploading a voice note, you must separately enable this processing in the app. When enabled, Wend sends submitted audio to OpenAI for transcription, captions, and safety processing. We do not use voice audio or transcripts for advertising. Turning the choice off stops future voice-note uploads and transcription; it does not remove voice notes or transcripts that were already processed. Text conversations remain available when voice processing is off.
Subscriptions and billing
Wend Pro is available as auto-renewing subscriptions. In the United States, plans are offered at $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year; Apple displays the price and any introductory offer available to you before purchase. The yearly plan may include a seven-day introductory trial when offered in the App Store.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel through Wend’s Settings or iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. There is no external purchase path.
An active Wend Pro subscription provides Pro access to the subscriber and their one currently linked partner. If a pairing ends, shared access for the non-subscribing former partner ends with that pairing.
Account and data
You can export your data or delete your account from Wend’s Settings. Our privacy practices and retention details are described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Wend changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions about these terms can be sent to megan@twohearth.com.
